Fall Slammers Programs

Directed by former top 70 and 12-time US Open competitor, and member of USTA Eastern Tennis Hall of Fame, the Butch Seewagen. Curriculum Focus

This progressive curriculum places the focus on developing children’s tennis skills on a size appropriate scale, utilizing smaller courts, low compression balls, and smaller rackets.  Kids drills and play games with emphasis on developing appropriate skill-sets in a fun environment.

Little Slammers


Ages 3-4 Mon: 1:30; Mon and Wed: 2:30; Tues: 11:30, 12:15, 2:30; Thurs: 11:15
A 4-1 ratio - 4 Courts
A 45-minute class focusing on mastering basic motor skills through innovative fun, games, and drills using age appropriate rackets and balls.

Slammers


Ages 4-6 Mon, Tues, Wed: 3:30
Weeks: Monday 16; Tues: 19; Thurs: 18
A 4-1 ratio - 2 Courts
A 45-minute class focusing on developing technique while continuing to practice correct racket and movement skills.

Grand Slammers


Ages 6-8 Mon Tues and Wed:4:15
Weeks: Monday 16; Tues: 19; Thurs: 18
A 4-1 ratio - 1 Court
A 60-minute class will emphasize movement skills and technical form to enhance rallying abilities. Appropriate competitive drills and games will be introduced.

    A former division 3 basketball player from Keystone College, has been coaching kids of all ages for over ten years. He's organized and run both youth basketball and baseball for the town of Millburn, NJ (2010-13) as well as coached AAU summer basketball.

    Allen Meyerovich

    Allen Meyerovich

    Tennis Coach

      After winning two CUNYAC titles for Baruch, Allen now serves as Assistant Coach for the Baruch College Tennis Team.  In the past, Allen worked as a Tennis instructor for children at McDonald Park in Brooklyn for NYJTL.

        A four year veteran at Cats. Baruch College team captain playing second singles. Awarded the Cunyac team player award in 2013. Also coached at Long Beach Tennis Center for 3 years.

        Florimond Le Goupil-Maier

        Florimond Le Goupil-Maier

        Tennis Coach

          Florimond Le Goupil-Maier is a student at Hunter College. He is an avid tennis player on the Men's Tennis Team for Hunter College winning two CUNYAC titles. Previously, he has worked at Long Beach Tennis Club as a pro for their children's and tournament training program.

            I am a certified Tennis Instructor and have been teaching for 5 years. I played division junior college Tennis and took 14th in Nationals as a team.

              National Amateur Champion. Ranked among the world’s top 70 professionals, he competed at Wimbledon, French and U.S. Opens. Coach of four players who reached ATP top 50. Former coach of Ivy League Champion, Columbia University. Member of USTA Eastern Tennis Hall of Fame.

              Fun Motivates Children

              BABY CATS (Age: 1-1.6; 1.6-2)​ (45 minutes) Through a variety of innovative sport instruction and captivating, age appropriate material children discover their athletic potential, develop strength, visual and spatial perception and coordination. Parent/Caregiver involvement required.

              CATS Dance Studio 49

              Talara Ruth is delighted to be teaching at CATSNY where professional excellence thrives in a supportive environment. She has been teaching dance and the related arts for decades. Her past students perform all over the world from contemporary ballet to Broadway.

              CATS ROCKVILLE CENTER

              CATS NY Sister location with: CATS Basic; After School; Yoga Hot or Not, Private Parties and Gym rental.

              OUR HISTORY

              For over 75 years, the Seewagen Family has known that physical competence empowers children to develop a healthy self-esteem.

              In 1984, CATS developed a unique cross training curriculum with the assumption that if a child achieves success the child will have more fun.

              Through interaction, students are given the steps to achieve their goals. The more success a child has the more fun the child will have leading to a lifelong love of being active.
